1. Specialized skills and Professional ethics

At JCCP, professional ethics are always taught alongside culinary and serving skills. Work ethics such as understanding the proper way to treat customers, communicating with employers (reporting, contacting and consulting), organizing, keeping clean and orderly, and comprehending the importance of punctuality are thoroughly instructed. As a result, work behavior of JCCP graduates is highly appreciated.

2.Strong connections with the fast growing service industry

JCCP is partnered with 63 hotels and restaurants throughout Juba to provide trainees with on-the-job training and help procure employment for graduates. After the independence of South Sudan, the service industry has increased rapidly with foreigners involved in both aid and business flowing into the country. JCCP observed this newly developing business area and has taken advantage of this opportunity in the industry.

3.Job interview coaching and attentive post-employment care

JCCP not only provides support for job interviews, but the local staff also pays attention to how the graduates are doing on the job. When preparing for job interviews, JCCP helps the trainees in several aspects such as setting up practice interviews, practicing questions and answers, and instructing on how to dress for interviews. After they are employed, the staff checks on the graduates to see if they have any problems with their employers and provide support so they can continue their jobs. To do this, local staff members are taught basic counseling techniques so they can respond to the consultations of graduates at any time.
