The 2005 JCCP Post-Graduate Conflict Prevention Seminar Course will be held from August 1st to 26th 2005. As most of the lectures will be in Japanese, with some in English, applicants are required to have a good knowledge of the Japanese language as well as communicative English ability. Details are as follows: Time frame: The course will run from Monday 1st August to Friday 26th August (Wednesday afternoons are free, as are weekends and the Japanese festival of Obon between 12th and 16th August). Requirements: Applicants should be university graduates (students and workers) with a strong interest in conflict prevention and peace-building. People with experience in developing countries and NGOs are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have a good knowledge of the Japanese language (in order to attend lectures and participate in discussions in Japanese) and communicative English ability. It is also vital that applicants be able to attend the entire course.
